Tenor David Troiano continues to receive great acclaim for the beauty of his voice, his sensitivity to the text, and his consummate musicianship. In the United States and Canada he has performed in Operatic, Operetta, Oratorio, Concert performances, and for the last several years, Recitals of American Art Songs to great applause and admiration. He has even performed several Zarzuelas with the Opera Factory in Chicago.
In 1999, he was invited to participate and present a recital of sacred music for the International Sacred Music Festival in Warsaw, Poland. In 2000, he was the Narrator in the world premier recording of Paul Paray's Christmas Oratorio. With the Comic Opera Guild of Ann Arbor, he is participating in the presentation of the entire Victor Herbert canon of Operettas in concert format with recordings to follow.
Mr. Troiano has completed undergraduate degrees in Philosophy and Music, has earned a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Wayne State University; the Master of Arts in Pastor Ministry from SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary, and is currently completing Doctoral Studies in Organ from the University of Michigan with legendary teacher and performer, Marilyn Mason.
He has been on the Voice Faculties of Macomb Community College, University of Windsor, with the Theater Department as Musical Director for Musicals at Wayne State University, as well as conductors of musicals at other venues. He has been past recipient of many Vocal Awards including the NATS Michigan and Great Lakes Divisions, and the Frederich Schorr International Voice Competition. He is currently the Choral Director for the International Symphony Orchestra and Chorus in Sarnia, Ontario and serves as Music Director for St. Mary Magdalen Church in Hazel Park, MI.
