Carl Ratner's musical career includes over two decades of experience as an opera director. He is the recipient of a Fulbright lecturer research grant to the Russian Federation and will direct Menotti's The Old maid & the Thief, lecture on American art songs, lead master classes, and appear in recital at the St. Petersburg Conservatory of Music.
He served as Artistic Director of Chicago Opera Theater. He learned his craft assisting directors at major opera houses such as the Metropolitan, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Covent Garden in London, and many more: please see resume.
